Athena Music Foundation's Young Performers Program gives talented young singers and instrumentalists the opportunity to work with and perform alongside professional artists in an array of culturally and artistically responsive musical performances. Athena Music Foundation honors the capacity of each child to create meaning and engender artistic imagination rooted in collaborative, respectful, and inclusive practices inspiring a lifelong love of music.

Athena is pleased to announce the founding of the Rockland Youth Symphony, with its opening season beginning October, 2023. Inspired by the brilliant musicianship of Dr. Michael Fennelly, the Rockland Youth Symphony brings dedicated young musicians together to play in a full symphony orchestra. Working together weekly, and with the partnership of Athena Music Foundation and the Rockland County Music Teachers Guild, we are thrilled to be a part of providing a showcase for the musical talents of young people through performances of timeless music.
Athena Music Foundation supports the next generation of rising young opera singers by sponsoring top prizes in national and international opera competitions. Our recent sponsorships include The Premiere Opera Foundation International Vocal Competition and The Opera Index Competition.
Athena sponsored the first place prize in the 2022 and 2021 Premiere Opera Foundation International Competition. Baritone Yeongtaek Yang won the Athena First Place Prize in 2022 and soprano Meigui Zhang won the Athena First Place Prize in 2021.
